Adding content

When adding content, be sure to turn on "Rich Text Editor" located under the text area box.

After you have turned on "Rich Text Editor", turn on "Full HTML" by click the link for "Input Format",  located under the link to turn on Rich Text.

You can then add images using the image browser.

Editing in FCKEditor

If you want to use the same blue that is consistant with the site, the code is #0066CC

Go to the icon that shows two AA's. Click that then click "more colors". Enter the color code there.

Be sure "Full HTML" is enabled or your changes will not show. This can be turned on in the "Input Format" section below this text block.

Re-Index Search Settings

Editing content

  • Look for and click "Administrator" in the left hand panel.

  • Under "Content Management" Click "Content"

  • Look for the content title you want to edit. (You can filter content by "story" for easier searching)

  • Click on "edit" to the right of the title.

  • Here you can change the title and body content.

Inserting images into content

  • While creating or editing content you may wish to insert images into your article.

  • To do so you must be in the "Body" box with "Enable Rich Text" turned on.

  • Choose an area in your article by clicking your mouse where you want to place an image.

  • In the Rich Text editor area look for the icon the looks like a picture with a tree, click it.

Creating a border around content

  • Insert text and images into content box with rich text enabled

  • After you have created your content, disable rich text then paste this at the begginning of code. <div style="border: thick solid #677dae; padding: 5px; width: 300px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto">

  • Go to the end of html code and paste this </div>

Posting New Content

Separate teaser from main article

  1. Turn on Plain Text Editor.
  2. Click split summary at cursor
  3. For a detached teaser, un-check show summery in full view.
  4. To include a teaser in full view, check show summary in full view.
  5. You can edit the teaser separately from the main article.
