Additional Content Help

Re-Index Search Settings

•  This will run the cron job and enable the re-index function to work.

Posting New Content

• Look for and click "Create content" in the left hand panel.
• You will have a choice of different content formats. Always choose "Story" as your content format.

Submit Story

• Enter the title of your story in the "Title" box.
• Use drop-down boxes to select which page the link to content will appear. Example" Teacher resources, Teen resources etc etc
• Enter text into the "body" box. If you want to insert pics and colored text, turn on "Enable Rich Text"
• Scroll down and look for "Menu Settings" Enter title of content.
• Scroll down to "Publishing options" Uncheck "Promoted to Front page" and Published.
• Click submit

• Look for and click "Administrator" in the left hand panel.
• Under "Content Management" Click "Content"
• Look for the content title you want to edit. (You can filter content by "story" for easier searching)
• Click on "edit" to the right of the title.
• Here you can change the title and body content.
• Remember to click "Enable Rich Text" underneath the "Body" box.
• Scroll to "Menu Settings" Change the title there if you wish.
• Scroll to publishing options. Uncheck "Promoted to front page" Uncheck published if you do not want to publish it for public viewing. Always check "Create a new revision" when updating content. This allows you to revert to previous revisions if needed.
• Click submit.

NOTE: Blue font color for titles and bold items is #0066cc. Use this when you choose font color.

• While creating or editing content you may wish to insert images into your article.
• To do so you must be in the "Body" box with "Enable Rich Text" turned on.
• Choose an area in your article by clicking your mouse where you want to place an image.
• In the Rich Text editor area look for the icon the looks like a picture with a tree, click it.
• A pop-up box will appear. To the right next to the first field "Image URL" you want to click the blue and white and red box.
• Another pop-up box will appear. From here you can scroll and choose an image to use under filename. Clicking on each name will give you a preview of it.
• You can also upload and image that is on your computer by clicking the "browse" button on the bottom left of the pop-up box.
• Navigate to the image you want then click upload. Your picture will be included in the list above under filename.
• Once you have selected a pic to use. Click the pic preview image. The box will close.
• The first pop-up box will still be there. Give the image a description.
• Click the "appearance" tab.
• Choose an "Alignment" option.
• Give it a verticle space of 5 and a Horizontal space of 5
• Give it a border of 1 if you wish.
• Click "Insert "
• Click submit

• Click image
• Choose "Border" in style drop down in the FCKEditor
   

Creating a Teaser

• Click edit on content item
• Disable rich text
• Go into code and put this <!--break--> where you want the teaser to stop.
